I am proud to say that my sixth grade students are picking up Spanish at an amazing rate. Each week, their communicative ability increases exponentially. I have been working on teaching the Our Father to my sixth grade students, and they pray so beautifully. Parents, I encourage you to ask your child to share this prayer with you in Spanish. I also encourage parents to invite their children to share what they are learning in Spanish class. Kids love the opportunity to be the "expert," and one of the best ways for them to know that they have learned a concept is to be able to explain it to someone else!
