Thank you to all my students and parents for you participation in our wonderful Dia de los Muertos celebration!  Not only were my classes able to explore this fascinating holiday, but we were also able to share the experience with several of the third, fourth, and fifth grade classes at St. Albert.  Everyone had a wonderful time decorating sugar skulls and remembering loved ones whohave passed away.

I would also like to give a special thank you to all the families who made donations of time or supplies for the celebration.  Without your support, this wonderful experience would not have been possible for my students.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  My students truly enjoyed the hands-on learning experience that I was able to provide with your help.

As we move into the holiday season, we are moving forward with our regular Spanish lessons and we are also planning ways to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas.  For Thanksgiving, my students will learn to express their thanks in prayer and in writing,  for the many blessings in their lives.  During Advent, I will emphasize the ways in which Christmas is celebrated in the Hispanic world.
